Refund policy

PEPLUX has not set its refund terms yet. Rather than publish a promise the business has not made, this page says what the policy will cover and commits to one thing now: you will see the refund terms before you are asked to pay anything.

Where this policy stands

PEPLUX has not yet set its refund terms. The terms depend on how billing works at the intake service, on the dispensing pharmacy’s policies, and on counsel review, and none of those is final.

Nothing can be bought through the PEPLUX website today, so there is no charge to refund. The refund terms will be published on this page before anyone is charged.

Shown before you pay

Before you are asked to pay for anything, the checkout will show the refund terms that apply to that order, alongside the price, what it includes, whether it renews, and how to cancel. Those terms, as shown at checkout and confirmed to you in writing, govern the order. The terms of service describe the rest of what you will see before you pay.

What the policy will cover

When the refund terms are set, they will answer each of these:

  • whether a visit or consultation fee is charged, and whether it is refunded if a provider does not prescribe;
  • what is refunded if you cancel before the pharmacy has dispatched your medication;
  • what happens to a charge for medication that has already been dispatched;
  • what happens if a shipment arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect, or does not arrive, and how soon you need to tell us;
  • how a charge made in error is corrected;
  • what happens to an amount already paid if a product stops being available, or if your account is closed for a reason that is not your breach of the terms; and
  • how to ask for a refund, and how quickly you will get an answer.

Cancelling

How to cancel will be shown at checkout, before you agree to any recurring charge. Cancelling stops future charges. It does not by itself refund a charge already made; whether that charge is refunded depends on the refund terms for the order.

Why shipped medication cannot come back

This is background, so the eventual terms do not come as a surprise. A compounded medication is prepared for one named patient against one prescription. Once it has left the pharmacy, the pharmacy cannot verify how it was stored, handled, or transported.

For that reason, state pharmacy rules generally do not allow a dispensed medication to be returned to stock or given to another patient. A returned vial has to be treated as compromised and destroyed. That limit comes from pharmacy law and patient safety, and it is the reason most pharmacies do not take dispensed medication back.

Do not post medication back

Please do not post medication back to PEPLUX or to the pharmacy. It cannot be accepted, and sending a temperature-sensitive sterile preparation through the mail is not safe. If you need to dispose of a medication, ask a pharmacist how to do it safely, or use a drug take-back program. Do not use a medication you think has been damaged or has not been kept at the right temperature.

If a product stops being available

Some products listed on PEPLUX are not FDA-approved and have no lawful pathway for a US pharmacy to compound them today. Their supply could stop at short notice: for example after an FDA action, a state action, or a pharmacy decision. Each product page shows that product’s FDA status next to the button that starts an intake.

If a product you take stops being available, we will tell you promptly and stop billing you for that product, as the terms of service say. What happens to an amount already paid will be set out in the refund terms.

Rights this policy does not limit

Nothing in this policy limits a refund or cancellation right that the law gives you, or your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer.

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first. It is usually faster to fix a mistake directly than through a card dispute.
